Artist statement

Society has changed a lot in the last couple years. We went from a non technology world. To a huge technology world. Mechanics are getting more advanced. Hospitals are getting better equipment. Our world is changing with a blink of an eye. But people still text and drive when they shouldn’t. With an advanced technology world the cars are getting more advanced they have bluetooth, hand free calling so you can call people and some cars even let you say a message to someone. But we still text and drive. That's what i would change about society. Texting while driving is just not okay and it’s incredibly dangerous.

I was trying to think of this phrase and how i would take a idea but i just thought of things that really need to be changed like kids growing up with technology. And the drugs and alcohol in this world i would change a lot if i could. But when taking this picture i choose technology. Because i thought it could be the most changed of this world we live in. So i thought of ways to show that. I was think at first i would find a little kid in a park and take a picture of them on their phone and i would have them in different parts and then i would have a teen ager playing on the play ground when all you see is the child on their phone not even paying attention to the world around them. Then i would put them together i'm black and white to show the difference in how our society has grown up. My second idea was to have a group of teenagers hanging out but when they hang out their just on their phone and that's how the communicating because socializing with real people in front of you is the worst thing and why would you talk to a person when you can just text them. And while there texting i would edit in some messages so you could see what they were texting each other. Then i thought of taking a picture of a steering wheel with all the buttons to see that in the future there could possibly could be more buttons that people can use while driving.

When i shoot this i took the steering wheel i took it so you could see all the buttons in a newer car so you could see what new functions they had now. Then i took a picture of another steering wheel and you could see that they were different 1 had new technology and the other had different technology and now the technology is advancing and getting better so in the future.we will be able to be hands free and it would be safer for the world. And i want to have a safe world.
